Project
The Ketteler-Kolleg in Mainz was built in the ’60s of reinforced concrete and brickwork and nowadays serves as a school and institute building. Damage to the roof construction necessitated its modernization. Temme Obermeier were responsible for the renovation of the new atrium roofing. They took everyone by surprise with a steel structure and a roof covering of pneumatic components. In doing this, the ETFE roof with pneumatic components gave the building not only an esthetic appeal, but also considerably improved its energetic and technical characteristics.
